Sundas is a Data Scientist, University of Washington Valedictorian, first-generation immigrant, first female in her family to graduate college and pursue a career. She leads the Seattle chapter of Pakistani Women in Computing.
Sundas started her career after a six-year gap between her high-school and college, and attended university while raising two young kids. While studying at University of Washington, Sundas interned at Amazon and earned 1st place among all intern presentations in addition to a return offer. She was also selected as the valedictorian at University of Washington Seattle graduation in 2014 and gave a speech to an audience of 3,000 students, parents, staff and faculty at the Husky Stadium.
Currently, she works as a Data Scientist (one of the hottest tech jobs in the America) in Amazon's A/B testing platform and science team, centralized team for testing and launching new features to Amazon site worldwide. She has built a stellar profile of work at Amazon, giving about +20 presentations and working with several teams across Amazon, including Alexa, Amazon Music, Search (A9), Amazon Devices, Amazon Kindle, and PrimeNow. In November 2018, Sundas won two awards for her exemplary work at Amazon.
Sundas is passionate about women’s education, workforce diversity, and enjoys helping and empowering others. Over the last few years, she has been heavily involved with the community within and outside of work, mentoring young women who are entering in tech and helping them shape their future. She is a core member of Women of CXT program at Amazon that supports diversity initiatives within her org.
Sundas has received recognition on several platforms, including University of Washington Seattle, Amazon Consumer Experience Technology organization, Amazon Intern Program, Women in Tech Show, Google GHC Scholar program, Twitter Lunch with Executives, Anita Borg Institute and more. She continues to embark new endeavors in her journey and inspiring others along the way.
